Jr. IT Administrator
Position Overview
The Junior IT administrator is responsible for providing all necessary computer support for the company headquarters as well as provide help desk support for all remote sites. Computer support consists of tracking software and hardware inventory and setting up and maintaining desktop and laptop systems throughout all GlobalView offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of all equipment at all company locations
- Manage configuration, installation and maintenance of desktops and laptops
- Manage software updates of desktops and laptops
- Provide hardware and software support to GlobalView employees worldwide
- Manage configuration, installation and maintenance of anti-virus software
- Manage employee Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and anti-spam system
- Manage all server backups
- Manage printers, scanners and fax machines at all company locations
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Proficiency in desktop and laptop hardware required
- Experience in Microsoft Update service
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 a plus
- Experience with Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5 a plus
- Experience with ghosting a plus
- Experience in application software installation and operation support required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of one years’ experience in technology systems in a network environment
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to set the direction when there is little or none
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and activities
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy, self-motivated person; willing to put in the extra effort when needed to meet the deadline
